Mentoring a student through CU 1-to-1 Mentoring is a great way to make a difference in the life of a local kid. The needs in our schools seem overwhelming right now, but this is one way to help.
You can mentor a student in Unit 4 or District 116. Many mentors begin with a student in 3rd grade, with the intention of staying with them through high school, but you can also be matched with a middle school or high school student. The committment is once a week for about an hour, but you should also be prepared for a long term relationship.
There are two more upcoming two hour trainings:
October 7 (tonight!), 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
October 13, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Contact Lauren Smith or Tom Howley to register. To find out more information about how to get started, check out the website.
