Parkland Theatre and the Station Theatre have both announced audition dates for fall productions:
The Station gets first billing, because you only have two days to prep for The Open House. Open auditions begin at 7 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 20th and Friday, August 21st for the following roles:
FATHER & CHARLES – 50s – 60s
MOTHER & MELISSA – 50s – 60s
DAUGHTER & ANNA – 20s-30s
SON & TOM – 20s-30s
UNCLE & BRIAN – 50s-60s
Auditions will be held at the Station Theatre, 223 N. Broadway, Urbana and will consist of selected readings from the script. The Open House by Will Eno, directed by Deb Richardson, will run October 1-17, 2015, at the Station Theatre. The public is encouraged to audition, and it will consist of readings from the script. See the facebook event for more details.
Parkland Theatre is giving you a week and change, but they have two shows on the dockett, but both auditions will be Sunday, August 30th, from 1-5 p.m. , and consist of selected readings from the script.
Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom has a special request for High School-aged performers, as the play deals with suburban families whose children are addicted to a zombie-themed video game.
Noises Off! is a little more… adult.
