Now that ground has been broken on the new YMCA out in bumblefuck southwest Champaign, it’s likely too late to wonder or ask the board if they are truly following the principles set out before it by its founders:
To put Christian principles in to practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
That last part — the whole “for all” thing — might prove difficult based on its new location. Way to cater to the people, YMCA! Hope you own a car!

The new Y is officially about seven miles from the city center, where its old location will remain dormant until it can find a buyer.
