Illinois School of Social Work seeks artists for new installation

The Illinois School of Social Work is looking for local artists to create a new installation celebrating their 75th anniversary. Here’s the post via Urbana Public Arts Program:

Location: 1010 W. Nevada St. in Urbana

Requirements: This opportunity is open to professional artists in the Champaign-Urbana community or artists with ties to the University of Illinois. Our vision is to provide our alumni and supporters an opportunity to visibly display their support of the School and celebrate 75 years of social work education, research, and innovation. Ideally, we would like the installation to incorporate the names of donors into the overall display. Open to all art mediums. All estimates should include the artist’s design fee, all costs of materials and fabrication of the work, and all materials necessary for installation of the work. The budget should not exceed $15,000.

How to Apply: Submit a proposed artwork concept, cost estimate, and 2 to 3 examples of your previous work to Amy Frederick at aeweber2@illinois.edu by June 26th. Submissions will be reviewed by the School of Social Work and the final seclection will be announced by July 19th.
