The Illini basketball season kicks off Monday night with the annual Orange & Blue Scrimmage.
The scrimmage starts at 7 p.m. and will consist of three, eight-minute quarters. Each quarter will be contested as its own game, with the score resetting after each quarter. Line-ups also will change each quarter.
Following the scrimmage, all Illini players and coach Groce will sign posters during a 45-minute autograph session. The video board will show the Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions as an added convenience for fans waiting in line for autographs.
Orange & Blue Scrimmage tickets are included in the season ticket package. Tickets also are on sale for $10 each; $2 for U of I students. Seating for the scrimmage is general admission and parking is free. Assembly Hall doors will open at 6 p.m.
