Guido’s is a great spot for a martini al fresco when the weather is nice, but sometimes it’s fun to cozy up for a drink in a booth (with plastic partitions) by the window. I ordered the Irish mule ($7.50) which is like a Moscow mule except the vodka is swapped for whiskey.
Guido’s Irish mule was made with Irish whiskey, ginger beer, and lime juice served in the requisite copper mug. First, it was adorable, and second, it was strong. I loved it, and I had a couple, staring out the big windows and watching pedestrians walk around Downtown Champaign.
