The hosts of local comedy podcast You Big Dumb Idiot, Andrew Schiver and Lindsey Gates-Markel, will emcee Pecha Kucha Night C-U Volume 15 at Krannert Art Museum this Saturday, May 31st, 2014.
Since their first episode on geography in September 2013, the duo has amassed over 7,000 listens, recorded a live episode at Mike ‘N Molly’s in downtown Champaign, appeared on the public television hit The Travis Wayne Hurt Christmas Special, been sampled on a hip-hop record, and presented at Pecha Kucha Night C-U Volume 14 in December 2013. Each episode of You Big Dumb Idiot is a mix of untraditional interviews, absurd games, various innuendo, and The Most Important Question You’ll Ever Be Asked, featuring a guest expert who appears on the show to talk about their topic of choice, from The Simpsons to microorganisms. The show is sponsored by Pizza M in Urbana and Sleepy Creek Vineyards in Georgetown.
A new episode of You Big Dumb Idiot is released every Monday. Episodes are available to download via big daddy iTunes and they can be streamed through Stitcher or youbigdumbidiot.com. Pecha Kucha Night C-U, Volume 15 begins at 8:20 p.m. on May 31st, 2014, at Krannert Art Museum at 500 E. Peabody Dr. in Champaign. Doors open at 7:45 p.m. and admission is free.
