The 8th annual C-U Folk and Roots Festival is happening this weekend in downtown Urbana, and there’s a lot in store for attendees. The yearly fest features musicians from folk, roots, bluegrass, country, and Americana genres, as well as a wide range of other non-music activities. This year’s fest features a couple of changes and new additions, such as the new Festival Central booth – a hub and information center where one can obtain a wristband, find brochures and schedules, and purchase t-shirts and artist merchandise.
Folk and Roots Fest offers a more interactive festival experience to show goers, featuring dance and jam sessions, storytelling, instrument-making and more.
