This week, Eastern Illinois Foodbank invited local first responders: fire departments, METCAD, police deparments, and the sheriff’s office to partner with local businesses for a giant two-day food repacking event. The teams were competing for the most meals packed and the most money raised. The team of the Champaign Police Department and Spiros Law raised enough money to provide 12,536 meals, topping the leader board.
All in all, the event brought in enough money to provide more than 60,000 meals, which is pretty amazing. Here are the all of the team results:
