This annual event is happening Friday, January 17th at The Vineyard Church. There will be a public reception in their honor beginning at 3 p.m., and the program will follow at 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Each award recipient will be recognized, then there will be a keynote address by Dr. Sampson Davis, an emergency medicine physician and inspirational leader, and musical entertainment by The Nfinite Soul Band featuring Erica Jae and Ed Greene.
Here are the recipients:
- Pastor Rickey E. Parks – Winner of the Doris Hoskins Prestigious Community Service Award
- Austin’s Place – Winner of the James R. Burgess, Jr. – Susan Freiburg Humanitarian Award
- Nathaniel L. Dixon and New American Welcome Center – Winners of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Outstanding Achievement Award
