Last week the spouse and I took a ride out to Le Roy to visit Old Bank Restaurant and Bar, part of the Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group. (You can learn more about Epiphany Farms here.)
You might remember our review of Old Bank’s brunch a couple of years ago; we were there last week for dinner.
Hubby had the fried chicken (half a chicken, $19.59), served with veggies and mashed potatoes, but he subbed in fries for mashed potatoes. It was delicious and cripsy and juicy. The veggies were cooked to tender-crisp and tasted wonderful.
I opted for the cornflake fried chicken sandwich ($10.99), which comes topped with pickled onion and carrot and coleslaw, and Anju Korean BBQ sauce (Anju is one of their other restaurants in B-N). I don’t like mayo, so ordered my sandwich sans slaw. This might have been among the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had — the chicken was perfectly fried, the pickled veggies were tangy, the barbecue sauce was sweet and spicy and tangy. The bread was the right amount of crunchy and soft.
We also had the peach cobbler ($5.99) and the loaded soft serve waffle cone ($2.99). They were perfect desserts. The soft serve ice cream alone is worth the trip to the restaurant. I will most certainly be back to get my sugar fix.
