Gibson City’s Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theater 
has started a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise enough money to purchase two digital movie projectors fundamental in the theater’s operation in 2013. Beginning next year, 35mm film will no longer be used to distribute movies to theaters, forcing movie houses to “go digital or go dark.”
The Harvest Moon is Champaign’s closest drive-in movie theater and has been serving Central Illinois for 58 years and is one of less than 350 drive-in movie theaters left in America.
