One of the best causes in Champaign-Urbana that I can think of is Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County, which is located just east of 1st and University in Champaign. There, they provide a plethora of charitable endeavors, ranging from a re-sale store to educational services for prospective homeowners to their renown building program, Habitat truly does a lot of good in our community.
This Friday, you can show Habitat how much you care by attending their 2nd annual Home Matters Breakfast at CityView Banquet Center on top of Illinois Terminal. Registration is required for entry, which you can do here, and the program will run from 7:30-8:30 a.m. this Friday. The breakfast will include a video and presentation about some of the impact Habitat has had in C-U, as well as stories from homeowners who are building a house with Habitat.
A great cause and breakfast – what’s not to love? This one’s worth waking up for Friday morning.
