… just not fans of the Illini. Champaign Centennial advanced to the IHSA Class 3A state finals with a last-second win today against Chicago North Lawndale. The 66–65 win sends the Chargers to face Oswego in the championship game on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.
UPDATE: Centennial won the state championship, 61–59, against Oswego. The state’s top-ranked team in Class 3A finished the season at 32–1 with a 19-game winning streak. Rayvonte Rice was not only the team’s leading scorer, but also stole the ball twice in the game’s final ten seconds to seal the victory. Congrats to the Chargers!
