GIRLS ROCK! SUMMER CAMP 2018
Urbana, Illinois, May 21, 2018– Girls Rock! Champaign-Urbana will host its first Summer Camp at the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center the week of June 11-15, with a Rock Concert at Cowboy Monkey on June 16.
The inaugural GR!C-U Summer Camp offers attendees a chance to learn how to play guitar, bass, drums, or sing in your own band, write your own song, record it, and perform it in front of a live audience! There are very limited spots – only two per instrument. Registration is open to girls, women, transgender folks, and gender non-conforming folks. The age ranges for the Girls Rock! Summer Camp is 8-17. No musical experience is required. Cost is $250 for the camp, on a sliding scale, and a limited number of scholarships available.
