This Saturday’s Urbana Market at the Square will be transformed into the annual Market at the Scare! event from 8 a.m. to noon. In addition to all of the usual wonderful things you can find at the market in October, there will be a plethora of Halloween fun happening as well, with some vendors even participating in a little trick-or-treating. In addition, there will be a pop-up photo booth with props, character greeters, fall crafts, a puppet show, and a spooky story time.
From 9:30 to 11:30 the Urbana Pops Orchestra will be playing spooky songs, and The Idea Store will be doing a Spooky Soundscapes workshop from 8 a.m. to noon where kids can make monster sounds out of Idea Store materials.
All of this is free and open to all ages. It also happens to be the last outdoor market of the season (Market In the Square begins the following weekend), so don’t miss out.
