Red Crib Acres just opened their apple CSA for sign ups. You can pick up weekly apple pecks starting in late August or early September for ten weeks. Members of the CSA pick up their apples on Thursdays at Sola Gratia Farm in Urbana. This year, CSA members will have a chance to choose their own apples and pack their own pecks.
A full share gets you one peck a week for ten weeks for $200, and a half share is a half peck a week for ten weeks for $125. How much is a peck of apples? A peck is ten pounds of apples, and a half peck is five pounds.
