Apparently, the Campustown establishment Geovanti’s is no longer (those deliciously painful chicken strips will remain, as the menu will allegedly be kept), and they’ve decided to replace it with a name unique to restaurants on Green Street: Papa D’s.
I wish I was making that up.
Perhaps they hadn’t heard of a little place called Papa Del’s, which is literally just over one block away between 2nd and 3rd Street and Green Street.
Papa D’s. Papa Del’s. Remarkably similar.
It kind of reminds me of this Sonic commercial, where the passenger side guy asks, “Why T?” when naming the Raspberry Iced-T beverages. Stupid commercial, yes, but I found myself asking the same question: “Why D?” Why?
