Future Spaces in Community Places opens August 26th

Future Spaces in Community Places opens at 5 p.m on August 26th at the University YMCA’s Murphy Gallery. An opening reception will held from 5 to 9 p.m., with an artist talk and performances starting at 6:00 p.m. 

Future Spaces,  AfroFuturism Experience, featuring works by Stacey (BLACKSTAR) Robinson, Shaya (Chocolate Star) Robinson, and Kamau (DJ KamauMau) Grantham. The exhibition “envisions making equitable futures through practical campus + community collaboration.”

It shown in partnership by the University YMCA, the University of Illinois College of Fine and Applied Arts, and others.
