Did you know that Fresh International Market offers a hot lunch buffet? The grocery store has a ton of products that are frozen or one or two steps away from ready to eat (check out the noodle soup mixes in the produce section, for instance). But a more recent addition is the hot buffet counter. It’s a serve yourself ordeal, with several options. Below the hot table there’s a refrigerated section for sushi, and you can also find little buns and balls, barbecue pork, and roasted duck.
You pay by weight; it’s $6.99 per pound. Cooked rice is usually stacked next to the containers, and is $0.99.
After a busy morning that bled into the lunch hours, I stopped there to grab something to share with my husband. I got a few things, and they were all good.
Next time you’re in a pinch, check it out.
