On February 5th at 10 a.m., Japan House has invited Reverend Florence Caplow from Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign to guide you through 10 to 15 minutes of zen meditation. From the Facebook event page:
Meditation can positively impact mental and physical health by helping to gain a new perspective on a stressful situation, increasing self-awareness, helping to focus on the present, as well as increasing patience and tolerance, imagination and creativity, while reducing negative emotions.
We are living in a time were stress and negative emotions abound, so this sound like a nice reset heading into the weekend. Caplow will be leading meditation in various locations in and around Japan House. You can follow along on with Japan House on Facebook Live.
