Thanksgiving is only a few days away and everyone is thinking about travel plans and food, but please take a moment to consider coming to the “Fill the Banks” blood and food drive the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
Monday, November 23rd through Wednesday, November 25th, Community Blood Services of Illinois will be collecting donations for the Eastern Illinois Foodbank at the donor centers in Danville, Mattoon and Urbana.
Donate blood and bring a buddy to donate too! Even though blood donation slows down during the holiday season, the need for blood for patient use never does. Bring a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation for the Foodbank. $1 = 6 meals for someone in our community!
Community Blood Services of Illinois is the sole provider of blood for patient use at Carle Hospital and Presence Medical Center in Urbana. One donation can save the lives of three local patients!
BONUS! All presenting donors will receive a coupon for one free Red Box movie rental and will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gas gift card.
