The new Farren’s is officially open in their new location on 117/119 N. Walnut in Downtown Champaign, which was previously occupied by Radio Maria. Their previous location at 308 N. Randolph has officially closed, and today marks the first day of being open on Walnut Street.
Their hours for the new space will be Sunday-Tuesday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and Wednesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-midnight.
Seating will be available on the bar side (south) for the time being, and they will open the north side of the restaurant in the near future, likely fall when school starts back up. Five tables with seating will be available outside, with plans to add a few more as time goes on. The amount of seating on the bar side of the new space is approximately the same amount of seating that existed in the previous restaurant.
So, when all is said and done, there will be a lot more seating, and that’s a great thing.
The menu is roughly the same, with some various new options, which you can check out below. Plus, they now have slushies, which is awesome.
