If you hear the outdoor warning sirens at any point this week, don’t be alarmed. The Champaign County Emergency Management Agency is installing new digital communication equipment in sirens throughout Champaign, Urbana, and Savoy, and they will be individually testing each one.
I looked at the weather, and it’s a pretty solid 35 degrees this entire week, so tornadoes seem rather unlikely. The testing will happen today through Friday the 31st, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
