UPDATE (8:41 p.m.): With precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 22 reporting, Gerard leads 63% to 37% (489 votes to 283). Obviously a long way to go.

UPDATE (9:24 p.m.): 25 precincts, Gerard 2,275 (57%), Schweighart 1,740 (43%) Not sure why clerk’s site says 40 precincts, when Champaign only has 38.

UPDATE (9:54 p.m.): 28 precincts, Gerard 2,685 (57%), Schweighart 2,044 (43%) Stays about where it was.

UPDATE (10:16 p.m.): Gerard campaign staffer just told me that Gordy Hulten told Gerard that Gerard has won by margin of 230 votes.

UPDATE (10:23 p.m.): It’s official; Gerard is the winner.

UPDATE (11:28 p.m.): OK, things seem to have settled down enough that the County Clerk’s website is accessible again. Summary Results:

  • Increase Tax Limiting Rate for Urbana Park District
