EIU’s Lions in Winter Literary Festival returns to in person programming in January

Eastern Illinois University’s Lions in Winter Literary Festival will be in-person on January 28, 2023. This year’s featured authors are Washington Post columnist and memoirist Brian Broome, poet, essayist, and 2021 Adrienne Rich Poetry Prize winner Taylor Byas, and novelist, director and multigenre pioneer Kathe Koja.

Per the festival’s website, there will also be “a book table, catered breakfast and lunch, a student showcase, and an awards ceremony for local high school writers.”

The festival is free, but registration / tickets are required. You can reserve them online
