The Dulak Pilates Center is set to celebrate its 10 year anniversary with an open house from 11-1 p.m. today. Anyone is invited to attend the event.
The open house will feature a tour of the studio space, the chance to meet with instructors and other clients, and a view of Pilates classes in action. The first ten guests will receive $10 towards their first Pilates lesson. The Dulak Pilates Center offers courses ranging from introductory packages to Pilates certification courses.
This event is meant to familiarize guests with Joseph Pilates, who is the inventor and promoter of Pilates as well as Janice Dulak, the owner of Dulak Pilates Center, who is a Master instructor trainer.
Dulak was trained by Romana Kryzanowska, who was a student of Joseph Pilates and was considered his “oldest living disciple” until her recent passing this year. According to Dulak, “Teaching Pilates has given me the way to share this incredible feeling, to have my clients experience the depths of strength, flexibility and control that Pilates can bring.”
Dulak is internationally known as a dressage rider and as an author of books and DVDs teaching the Pilates method in a clear and concise way. She has continued her work for two decades through her school Pilates for Dressage, which allows riders to communicate with their horse through the use of body control.
In addition to this open house, Dulak Pilates Center will host a 10 year anniversary client appreciation party from 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 12. There will be food, music, beverage and Pilates demonstrations provided to honor the current clients.
