Museum of the Grand Prairie is hosting an “after hours” event on September 13th where you can learn all about about forging and blacksmithing from a couple of experts — Shel Browder and Steve Mankowski — who have had experience working at Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestowne.
And what pairs perfectly with blacksmithing? Beer of course! JT Walkers will be bringing their brews as well as wine if that’s more your jam.
The event will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with the blacksmith presentation happening at 7 p.m. The rest of the time can be spent exploring the museum and enjoying beverages with others.
You will need to register, as space is limited. Cost is just $3, plus whatever you spend on your booze.
