Urbana Poet Laureate Ashanti Files will be hosting an event showcasing the work of selected local poets. Featured artists include: A+, Adeyinka Alasade, Cielo Jones, Dawn Blackman, Ja Nelle Davenport-Pleasure, Jazmine Summerville, Marva Nelson, Ruby Mendenhall, Sandrea Flows, Shaya Robinson AKA Chocolate Star, and the Writers of Oya.
The showcase will take place on Monday, June 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. outside of the Urbana Free Library and will also be available to watch remotely on Facebook.
