Look, I know that we get a bit bombarded with all of the pumpkin things during this time of year. We certainly don’t shy away from talking about delicious pumpkin items here at Smile Politely: cookies, pancakes and lattes, kombucha, etc.
I humbly ask that you add one more seasonal pumpkin item to your must-try list.
I tried a pumpkin crepe from Pekara today, and it was heavenly. The crepe itself is made with pumpkin puree, and then it is filled with more pumpkin puree as well as sweet cream. They even put a little whipped cream embellishment along the edge to make it look like a piece of pumpkin pie. So cute! Full disclosure: I got the crepe to go and the pretty whipped cream embellishment had dissolved a bit during my travels (which is why I am not using my own photo). If you want the full aesthetic, you might want to eat it there. However, I can assure you, the taste was not diminished. It was a delightful companion to my coffee.
This particular crepe is only available during October and November, so don’t miss out!
