I knew that once upon a time you could order small sizes from Golden Harbor’s Americanized menu, but only at lunch. I thought of this last week when I needed to acquire lunch to feed three people. As I pulled up the restaurant’s website, I noticed the “LUNCH ONLY COMBO MEALS!” announcement at the top of the page.
The lunch combos are two entrees (packaged in one rectangular container) plus steamed or fried rice. They are available 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and $14.95. I ordered the orange chicken and veggie lo mein. It was plentiful, enough for two people, easily. Since there were three of us eating, we polished it off pretty easily and with much enthusiasm. (I also ordered a small container of another entree, not a combo, which was huge and delicious, but not what we’re talking about here.)
If you’re looking for a hearty lunch, or one that could double as leftovers for dinner, Golden Harbor’s lunch combos are it. Of the ten combos, there is only one explicitly vegetarian option (Mix Vegetables Sunflower Seeds n’ Garlic Tofu), but there are a few with meat and veggies. Ordering online is super easy, and picking up the food is seamless. Give it a try.
