Champaign Urbana History is making waves with nostalgia trips — this time is with the locally-famous DeLuxe Fish Sandwich’s return to availabilty.
For those of you who don’t remember (and believe me, this was before my time as well) — DeLuxe used to exist in Campustown where Legends currently exists.
For a limited time, you’ll be able to get the sando at Dublin’s Pub — which used to be called Dublin O’Neil’s, but was changed to Dublin’s Pub, but still has the same sign and the same design and isn’t an actual Irish Pub.
Here’s the text from the post Mike Moran made in C-U History:
Big news from our own Stephen Flynn… he and I have exchanged messages about the reaction to posts featuring the Deluxe Fish Sandwich and how popular they would still be if available… well he has finally done it… Deluxe fish sandwich is coming back to CU…as Steve said: “the CU History group deserves an advance notice, there the reason I’m doing it. “
