Decorate and make pomander tomorrow

But you ask, WTF is a pomander or whatever? It’s a holiday thing. It’s bascially an orange studded with cloves. It’s fragrant and festive (from what I understand, because it’s not my personal or familial tradition). Moreover, Wikipedia says that pomander can be “used as a recovery charm in witchcraft,” which seems relevant in these times.

The Champaign County History Museum will have a pomander-decorating station in the north wing of Lincoln Square Mall this Saturday, December 15th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., during Market in the Square. It sounds like a great activity for the kiddos, and also “spirited adults,” which I take to mean adults who would like an excuse to repeatedly stab something fleshy in a socially acceptable way.
