Each year, Common Ground Co-op offers lots of options for making your Thanksgiving meal prep just a bit easier.
First, the turkey. You can pre-order a Triple S Farms turkey now by filling out the online order form. It will give you the opportunity to select the pick up day that works best for you. If you place your order by November 10th, you’ll be entered into a drawing to win that bird for free. I’ve exercised this option for the past few years. The process is easy, the turkey is delicious, and you know that you are sourcing from a local producer which is always a good thing.
Now, whether you are hosting or showing up at someone else’s house, sides are going to be a necessity. Perhaps you have a go-to-this-recipe-has-been-in-my-family-for-eight-generations type dish to bring to the table, but perhaps you’re just busy as shit (aren’t we all?) and would really love for someone else to prepare your sides.
November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving, the Co-op will once again transform their salad bar into a Thanksgiving buffet featuring sides and dessert. There will be all the standards, as well as vegan and wheat-free options. Everything is sold for $9.99 a pound, and it’s all made from scratch. Don’t need to feed a crowd? Then just roll up for lunch and enjoy a little pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving meal. The buffet opens at 11 a.m., and runs until the food is gone, so get there early.
