Local attorney Ruth Wyman is running for Champaign County Circuit Judge, and she is the beneficiary of some pretty great artwork designed and donated by Adam Goldberg of TRÜF Creative, an LA design studio that has clients such as Adidas, True Religion Brand Jeans, and DreamWorks. Their website lays out their rationale for taking on political posters:
“We wanted our design to mean something and perhaps, if we were lucky, persuade one non-voter to change their mind. There’s some unwritten rule that companies shouldn’t take any political stand for fear of alienating potential clients. We felt this election was too important to stay silent. So we didn’t.”
From Goldberg:
“What’s important to us is how a company operates ethically and creatively. For example, we don’t want to work with companies that are doing harm to the environment or populace. Secondly, we want to make sure that company is coming to us for our expertise and style and lets us do our thing for them – trust. Third: no assholes. Those types of clients are surprisingly hard to find but they’re out there and those are the companies we love to work with and that get the best results for all.”
The Wyman campaign is looking for feedback about the three designs below, which are all a bit outside the norm of campaign art. You can give your opinions here, and find out more about Ruth Wyman here.
