If you didn’t already know, Champaign-Urbana has an active herb society. The Champaign-Urbana Herb Society was founded in 1975 and “organized to study and encourage interest in herbs- their hisotry, cultivation, and use.”
The organization holds monthly meetings featuring different presenters. The next meeting is from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1st at the Tony Noel Agricultural Technology Applications Center at Parkland College, and will feature Chuck Voigt from Mid-American Gardener. Voigt’s presenation is “Herb of the Year: Coriander.” The meeting is free and open to the public; refreshments will be provided.
