After going virtual the past couple of years, the Juneteenth celebration in Douglass Park is back this year. Champaign Park DIstrict and the Champaign Public Library are hosting the family friendly event on June 18th from 12 to 3 p.m.
There will be activities for kids including a bounce house, obstacle course, arts and crafts, and of course the splash pad. You can also expect music and multiple community vendors.
If you’d like to volunteer to help with the celebration, or for any other park district event this summer, check out their website.
