This weekend, the Champaign Park District will be hosting the first of two awesome and free StreetFests this weekend in Downtown Champaign. The first one, which happens this Saturday, June 18th, will feature Sun Stereo, The Jim Markum Swing Band and The New and Slightly Used. Find the full schedule below:
June 18 @ Neil St./Main St.
7:00 – 8:00p The New and Slightly Used
8:45 – 10:00p Jim Markum Swing Band
10:30 – Midnight Sun Stereo
Food trucks, family-friendly activities,and local refreshments will also round out the evening, which is set to repeat again in July with an all-new set of bands.

Showcases community talent – This concert is FREE and features incredibly talented musicians from our community! Sun Stereo even features “ the lovely circus-esque performance art of Christine Janak” (quote taken from their Facebook page)
Street party – The streets surrounding the stage will be closed off which means plenty of dance space and you can bring food and drink from the surrounding establishments into the concert area.
Good vibes – Both music and being outside is proven to reduce stress and make you happier!
