Carle Illinois med students are using augmented reality simulations for training

A group of students at Carle Illinois College of Medicine participated in a holographic simulation for clinical training. The students examined an asthmatic “patient” — actually a hologram — using augmented, or extended reality technology from GigXR and ANIMA RES.

The technology even allowed CI Med Dean Mark Cohen participate as an avatar while in Singapore. Check out the video below, it’s kind of wild!
