Santah has always held a place near and dear to my heart — not just being pals with the crew over the years, dating back to 2009-10 as Music Director at WPGU, watching them at house shows at such — but they’re a damn good band.
White Noise Bed was their debut back in 2010 when they were still here in C-U, and even when they released their EP You’re Still A Lover, I couldn’t help but review it because I just adored the band.
While it doesn’t appear that they are breaking up forever, they’re taking a bit of a break, it seems — and doing so in a pretty amazing fashion: after their Summer Sayonarah boat show.
Check out all the information below. Much love to the band.
One last float on the night boat…
While red velvet summers seem to last forever, we are saying a fond farewell to a phase with one very special show: a rock and roll cruise on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, upon the exquisite Chicago charter, Summer of George, on Saturday, September 30. We’re joined by two of our favorite groups in Chicago, Divino Niño and Vaya.
There are a limited number of tickets available. Join us and our friends as we celebrate the death of Summer and surely the birth of something new. If you’re going, please get your tickets ahead of time. We board at 8:30p and set sail at 9:00p sharp.

In case we miss you, thanks to all the dear neighbors, cousins, framily and lovers for your support over the years. We’re not sure if this is goodbye forever or just for a long while, but we know that we will always be creating, and we urge you to do the same. It’s what we all need.
For all hours,
Santah
