If you have children in your house, you are inevitably looking for ways to keep them busy and entertained and not parked in front of their screens. It’s a never-ending battle that I am well aware of.
Encourage some appreciation for the arts by bringing them to Krannert Art Museum, as there are some new opportunities for them to engage with the galleries as well as have some interactive experiences.
KAM has created Family Art Cards and placed them at the entrances of the museum to give families some focused activities as they explore the galleries. If the young ones are itching to get a bit more up close and personal with art (as in, they need to touch things), you can visit the recently expanded Giertz Education Center and interact with touchable art objects and arrange their own museum displays.
Seems like a good excursion to put on your “it’s raining or just too ridiculously hot” list.
Important note: Espresso Royale at KAM is closed for the summer, so make sure everyone is fueled up before you visit.
