Beginning this weekend we are going to see our first lows in the 30s, and we’ll be dragging out all the warm things to pile on as our bodies once again adapt to the cold time of the year. Well, there are plenty of folks in our community that do not have the luxury of having all the warm things to pile on. And you, most likely, have items that you no longer wear or that your kids have outgrown.
Cunningham Township Supervisor’s Office is once again hosting the Enoch Miller Sr. Coat Drive, where they will be collecting coats, fleece sweatshirts, gloves, hats, scarfs, snow pants, and boots for distribution to those who need them. You can bring these items to their office at 205 W. Green in Urbana from now through March 1st, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (they are closed from noon to 1 p.m.)
Please stick to that list of items, as they do not have the capacity to accept types of clothing.
