On Wednesday, September 28th, the Bread and Puppet Theatre will be coming to Cannonball Hill in Urbana’s Crystal Lake Park. A recent release from the School for Designing a Society noted that “believing theater is a basic necessity like bread, the company frequently brings its work to the streets for those who may not otherwise go to the theater. Its shows are political and spectacular, with puppets, stilt-walkers, masks with expressive faces, singing, dancing and playing music.”
This free show will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with a pre-show brass band performance starting at 6:10 p.m. All ages are welcome. Get more information here.
Hosted by School for Designing a Society. Co-Sponsored by the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center, Cunningham Township Supervisor’s Office, and Unit One at Allen Hall. This event is supported in part by a grant from the Urbana Arts & Culture Program.
