Opal Tometi, a co-founder of the national Black Lives Matter movement, will be in Champaign-Urbana on February 19 for a public lecture and lunch reception. The event is part of the University YMCA’s Friday Forum lecture series.
The public lecture begins at 12 p.m. and the lunch reception begins at 1:30 p.m.

The University YMCA invites you to join Opal Tometi, one of three founders of the National Black Lives Matter Movement, for a reception following her Friday Forum talk to learn more about the state of the movement and how the movement is playing out in Champaign-Urbana.
