Beginning February 28th, U of I events won’t require COVID mitigation policies

Per reporting at WCIA.com, University of Illinois will drop its mask and vaccination/negative tests mandates for sporting and other events, but not for instructional spaces. It follows the state-wide mask mandate drop recently announced by Governor Pritzker.

The current events policy, enacted on January 1st, requires masks and proof of COVID vaccination or negative test (for ages 12 and up) for events with more than 200 people.
