Twitter lit up like a firestorm with last evening’s ominous Illini-Alert system announcement.

I’m all for safety first, but this is the second time Illini-Alert is getting coverage for messing up. There’s got to be a happy medium where accurate, precautionary information can get out without the people of C-U boarding up their windows and loading their shotguns because a shelf breaks.
