Allerton Park and Retreat Center has announced the selection of five artists for its Spring 2022 In-Residence program. Nicole Anderson-Cobb, L Barber, Latrelle Bright, Jose Gobbo, and Simiya Sudduth will embody the goals of the “Rooting a Deeper Connection (RDC) initiative.”
RDC, “in partnership with the University of Illinois Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (OVCDEI), highlights and celebrates the arts and study of nature within Black and Latinx communities.”
This year’s artists will reside on the Allerton estate from March through May, during which time they will create and share with vistors. Keep an eye on the Allerton events calendar for upcoming opportunities to engage with these five artists.
