A top official of the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois will be in Champaign-Urbana in November as part of a statewide listening tour.
Executive Director Colleen Connell will hold a town hall-style meeting in the Robeson Rooms of the Champaign Public Library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 7th. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. The meeting is open free to the public.
Connell will also meet with members of the Champaign County ACLU during her visit. Local chapter membership has more than tripled to a little more than 2000 since the 2016 presidential election.
