We don’t normally share petitions here at Smile Politely. However, we had to share the news of a petition to rename a street in Urbana after the late, great, beloved, Angie Heaton.
Heaton passed away on October 6, 2020. A singer-songwriter who shared her loving, humorous, and kind soul with the Champaign-Urbana community, Heaton’s impact is still felt tremendously.
If you live in Urbana, you can sign the petition, which will be located at Fire Doll Studio in Champaign, as well as Art Coop and Record Swap in Urbana. After 4 p.m., the petition will be available at Rose Bowl Tavern.
