Soooooo… Tell us about your new releases.
Incoming! We won’t mince words: there’s one Parasolarian who’s physically aroused about the remaster/reissue of U2’s ‘The Unforgettable Fire’, especially the lovely super deluxe version with bonus CD & DVD (and a book, and art prints). See if you can guess which one…
Otherwise we’re totally hyped about the new Jesu EP, a new collaboration between Broadcast & The Focus Group, Glaswegian producer Hudson Mohawke’s new dayglo dance party, a REM live album on DCD & DVD, Wolfmother, Saviours, Devendra Banhart on Warner Bros (who would’ve guessed), the Ric Menck-recommended debut album from LA roots-rock outfit Old Californio, Tegan & Sara, a star-studded new Pelican album…
On the unearthed treasures front we have the truly incredible ‘Love Lost’ by seminal 60s psych-rock outfit Love: an entire 1971 album recorded for Columbia which has languished in the vaults for nearly 4 decades…now unlanguishing!
Wax On: 45s by Frankie Rose (Vivian Girls gal) and Gragory Webster on Slumberland, Built To Spill ‘No Enemy’ DLP+CD, Pearls Before Swine debut LP reissue, Harvey Milk live LP, Devendra’s new album on DLP, Sunny Day Real Estate ‘LP2’ DLP remastered with two crucial bonus tracks, Barn Owl LP, Moon Duo LP (Wooden Shjips guy), plus restock for Common Loon’s debut 45.
Stay in the loop: Vinyl hounds especially should check our Twitter for daily news on limited edition wax and new arrivals.
Rocking Our World: The new Jesu EP, the upcoming reissue of Nirvana’s ‘Bleach’ with a bonus live show from that era, that aforementioned U2 reissue (well, rocking one of our worlds at least), Old Californio’s debut, the new Common Loon record, which will be released on our own Hidden Agenda imprint in 2010 and the nine disc Grateful Dead ‘Winterland 1973: The Complete Recordings’ collection. Roy says “Three shows. Awesome.”
